New World Computing was a well-known company who developed the highly successful Might and Magic RPG series, and enjoyed moderate success in other genres. The company was bought by 3D0 (Electronic Art's subdivision) in 1996 and ceases to exist as an independent brand, although must of the development team is still intact and churning out new Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic games at an alarming rate. The old New World Computing logo is modified into a "Worlds of Might and Magic" logo for use with this franchise. Related companies: Electronic Arts, Holistic Design
