Kye is a fun and addictive brainteaser designed by Colin Garbutt and marketed as shareware in 1992. Your goal is to find all the diamonds on each level. It is not as easy as it sounds, of course, since there are dozens of obstacles and monsters that make your job much more difficult. You move the green circle called Kye around the level, trying to push objects around (or pull them, in some cases) to get at the diamonds. Enemies can not be touched, and can only be killed if they run into a Black Box (which eats anything that runs into it, you included). So this means you will often need to move boxes around to trap enemies if there is no Black Box around. Like other good puzzlers, there are numerous objects you will encounter throughout the game, and experiment is key to find their properties. You can return to any level you have completed via the main menu, or design your own levels using the built-in level editor. Kye is a fun and devious puzzler that will definitely entertain anyone who likes Chip's Challenge, Deadly Rooms of Death, or similar games. It certainly captivated me for hours on end. Highly recommended! Note: The download here includes levels from the registered version since there is no way to get them anymore, but since the spirit of the game was to sponsor the Save the Children charity, please donate some funds to a charity of your choice if you download this game.
