Not to be confused with Tsunami Productions, a company formed by Joe Ybarra, Tsunami Media was formed by several ex-Sierra designers. The company produced several underdogs in the early 1990s, such as Blue Force (designed by Jim Walls of Police Quest fame) and Free Enterpri$e. The company increasingly shifted its focus away from games to "interactive movies," in which the "game" element is limited to choosing what to do in each scene from multiple choices and watch the outcome. While the choices are not always obvious, the production value in some of these movies is quite high, and titles such as Silent Steel actually have some solid acting and well-written plot.
