Formerly Cybernetic Corporation, Software 2000 was one of the biggest German game producers. The company was founded in 1988 in Eutin, Germany. Best known for being the company that released Bundesliga Manager in 1989. A German soccer manager on the Amiga, that was an instant hit and the first really enjoyable soccer management simulation available in any language. The company continued to grow and produced excellent games like Pizza Tycoon, Pizza Syndicate and Swing. Before it closed up shop sometime in 2003, Software 2000 began to make poor CD-ROM games for popular TV series. A good marketing move, but very bad for Software 2000's image as a game developer. Greatest Hits: Bundesliga Manager series, Swing, Pizza Tycoon, Weltenschmiede games (Magnetic Scrolls like text adventures in German). Related companies: Kaiko, Weltenschmiede
Related companies: Kaiko Weltenschmiede
