A cute and unique 3D racing game, Tux Racer casts you as Tux the Linux Penguin (*groan*) as he races down steep, snow-covered mountains. Your mission is to race Tux down a hill on his stomach while gathering as many fish as possible in the process. You are given a set number of lives, and as you finish each course, more challenging obstacles are placed in your way for the next round. For a longer game, you can enter cups and compete to win the championship. In addition to excellent 3D graphics and gameplay, Tux Racer includes a variety of options, including different race conditions – you can race in fog, at night, and through hards winds. I can't really find fault with this game – one of the best freeware racing gems to appear in ages. Two thumbs up!
