Terminator: Rampage is the third game in Bethesda's "The Terminator" (tm) series, in which you must travel to the past in order to protect the future. The plot is standard post-apocalyptic mumbo-jumbo: it's the year 2029 in Los Angeles. They thought the holocaust had ended when the Orbital Platform was destroyed. They were wrong. SkyNET launched a Doomsday Plan. You must destroy the Machines before they terminate Mankind.

The game is based on the engine used in earlier Terminator 2029, but with obvious graphics enhancements. Despite more impressive graphics, however, the gameplay is somewhat inferior to the first 2 Terminator games from Bethesda due to numerous bugs and boring level design. The game feels rushed and unfinished-- as if Bethesda was scrambling to meet a publishing deadline. This is unfortunate, as the game has a good potential to be a great game once kinks in the engine and all bugs are ironed out. Overall, a good effort that doesn't live up to other Terminator games. Play its sequel Future Shock instead.
