Typing Racer is a fun 3D racing game designed to help improve your typing in a fun and addictive way. In this "rail shooter" (i.e. you don't have control over your movement), alphabetical symbols are scattered around the course. Your objective is to press the character (which can be from the Japanese Hiragana/Katakana, the Roman alphabet, or even numbers) on your keyboard that matches the letter that is closest to you to make it disappear. You pick up speed for every right and timely input. "Combo" bonus points are awarded for consecutive hits. Although all the five courses are essentially the same except for different length and background graphics, the game is quite fun. You can even change the difficulty level to suit your typing skills. If you want a short racing/action game that is useful to boot, Typing Racer is worth a try. It will help you improve your typing speed when you are having fun, in a less comprehensive manner than The Typing of the Dead. Two thumbs up!
