Sequel to the underrated Frenetic Five vs. Sturm Und Drang, Frenetic Five vs. Mr. Redundancy Man is a competent sequel that is unfortunately not as funny as the first. Perhaps it's because the game assumes that you are familiar with the first game, descriptions of heros and villians are somewhat lacking. Examining the members of your team, for example, gives a quick, clever description-- but that's about it. There are more guess-the-verb puzzles than in the previous games, and the solutions to most puzzles seem even more contrived. It is as if the designer has run out of ideas or new gags toward the end of the game, as the jokes become less funny, and the puzzles less interesting the more you play it. Still, if you enjoy the first game, you will probably enjoy this longer, but not funnier, sequel.Reviewed by: Underdogs | |
