A small and largely unknown development outfit that developed many solid strategy games for Interplay (most recently Conquest of the New World and Starfleet Command, currently underdevelopment) also developed many outstanding arcade game conversions during the 1980s. Although you may not have heard of their name, you probably have played their games (no rhyme intended) in the past if you are, or used to be, an arcade junkie (euphemistically known as coin-op lover) who sank countless quarters into machines in hope of finishing off that last boss. Most of the games below were published and distributed by Data East, and most of the original arcade incarnations are designed by SEGA.The games are arranged in chronological order so that their evolution is apparent. Regardless of advances in graphics and sounds, one thing remains true for all Quicksilver games: they are faithful conversions of the arcade hits, offer furious non-stop action, and above all will save you money <EG> - Quicksilver is alive and well, although their focus has strayed from arcade to strategy games. Visit their Homepage for the latest info, and a complete list of all their arcade conversions.
