Screamer is a great arcade racer in the style of Namco's Ridge Racer or Sega's Daytona USA – though way better than the PC conversion of the latter one. From MobyGames' description: "Screamer is a traditional arcade racing game. You can drive lots of different top cars, like a Corvette or a Porsche 911. The game has very different tracks, all well-designed with attention to detail and locale. Additionally, all tracks can be driven through backwards. If you think you're the best of the best, you can take on the Bullet car for the ultimate championship race. The graphics engine was very good for its time, providing extremely fast texture-mapped graphics on a 486."

The game's smooth and very fast graphics – fully textured – give a great impression of speed. The controls are just right and the various game modes and nicely varied tracks offer many hours of fun action. Definitely not to be missed if you're looking for an arcade-style racer. The Italian company Graffiti (now Milestone) surprised quite a few with this one, as their debut title Iron Assault really didn't promise a lot. BTW, it's recommended to choose the 320x200 graphics mode in the setup as the high-res mode is far too slow even on very fast computers.
